MARCIA & AARON

Brian & I used to live in Seattle & one of my very favorite date memories was going to The Corson Building. It is such a hidden gem tucked just south of downtown. Truly a European oasis amidst industrial Georgetown. Instantly I fell in love with the space. Full of old world charm, delicious food, wine & the always hand-written menus. Go sometime for your next Seattle date night, I promise you’ll love every detail!

All that’s to say, when Marcia & Aaron reached out early into their wedding planning with The Corson being their venue, I was instantly in (that goes for you readers too, I’ll always say yes to Corson)! Their wedding took place on a perfectly sunny, breezy September day in the gardens surrounding the building. M&A’s vision was to let their florals lead the overall design which is truly a dream come true to us! With florals at the center, we really let seasonality drive the color palette & details. This resulted in the softest late summer pastel palette. Their ceremony arch full of tardiva hydrangea & Sally Holmes roses was one of my very favs last summer! The courtyard felt like the perfect intimate ceremony setting with eclectic cafe chairs & organic florals lining the aisle. And the arch sat under a lush & ripe fig tree.

For Marcia’s bouquet, the cosmos totally stole the show. There’s nothing quite like a playful & bouncy white cosmo, especially when they get just the softest hint of pink on the petal edges. Her floral-lace dress flowed perfectly with the florals & gave the perfect elevated garden party vibe! Aaron got two of the very best boutonniere ingredients - tardiva hydrangea flowers & xeranthemum. Just the right compliment to her bouquet.

The tables featured lots of delicate & highly detailed arrangements. Featuring some of my local late summer favs - xeranthemum, blush delphinium, small world dahlias, champagne roses & some not-local butterfly ranunculus (because how could you not add these to the already playful-line-up). We mixed in assorted textured ivory tapers to finish off the tables & add some fun design height as well.

From start to finish this day was full of so many perfect details - like dreamy flat lays designed by our fav, Casi Yost Photo. And a first look in the reception space - which was a first for our couples, but suited M&A as well as the venue space so well! This was the first of many gorgeous weddings we worked with Amri & Co on. Aman added the perfect touch of modern & thoughtful finishing touches to the design that really brought the feel together!

Marcia & Aaron’s wedding was printed in The House Weddings magazine.
